Terms of Service

Last updated: August 25, 2026

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LARP's website and security testing platform (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on its behalf and confirming you have the authority to do so.

2. What LARP does

LARP scans web applications you connect — by URL or repository — for common security issues such as authentication weaknesses, broken authorization, exposed secrets, insecure configuration, and other vulnerability classes described on our site.

Scan results are provided to help you find and fix issues faster. They are automated, best-effort findings, not a certification, audit, or guarantee that an application is free of vulnerabilities. Security testing tools cannot catch every possible issue, and you remain responsible for the security of your own applications.

3. Authorization to scan

You may only submit an application, URL, or codebase for scanning if you own it or have explicit authorization from its owner to test it. You're solely responsible for confirming you have that authorization before running a scan.

Using LARP to scan or probe applications you don't own or aren't authorized to test is a violation of these Terms, may violate computer misuse laws, and may result in immediate termination of your account.

4. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
  • You’re responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at security@larp.dev if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to scan applications without authorization, as described in Section 3.
  • Use scan results to attack, exploit, or harm any system or its users.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or white-label the Service without our written consent.
  • Overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to LARP’s own infrastructure.
  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.

6. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Intellectual property

LARP and its logo, product, and scanning technology are owned by LARP. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. You retain all rights to the applications and code you submit for scanning; we only use them to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We don't warrant that scans will detect every vulnerability or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LARP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service — including damages resulting from vulnerabilities the Service did not detect.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, in particular the authorization requirements in Section 3.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by email or through the Service before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
